Preparation before sensor test
1) Block alarm system
The alarm system triggered by detector field test may direct facility employees to stop operation and lead to evacuation.
2) Advanced Approval for cooperation
Some facilities do not allow fire alarm test during their operation. Pre-approval from site manager is recommended.

Detectors Testing Method
If detector sensors fire, the LED light on detector will blink. And the fire alarm to be triggered only after the Flame Detector continuously sensors the presence of fire for given delay time.
Caution: Some facilities with flammable storage do not allow on site flame test

1) Test with lighter
This instant test can be done in short distance of 1-3 meter. The sensitivity set on the detector implies the testing distance
2) Test with Butane torch
Torch flame size will directly result the testing distance. The flame detection distance is up to 10 meter

Additionally, torch lamp results bluish flame that has similar entity of hydrogen fire, which is nearly invisible. Hold the torch lamp upside down and swing it around to create unburned flame with color, and it will be helpful for FD to sense fire.

Detector’s alarm trigger condition is based on below factors.
① Sensor sensitivity,
② Delay time,
③ Distance between sensor and flame,
④ Flame size may overcome the distance.

3) Test with Fuel container
Flame detector can be tested with fuel container sized 33CM * 33CM with n-Heptane. Rezontech flame detectors meet KFI regulation and qualified by FM performance approvals.

Test with REZONTECH TEST Kit
- Test Lamp is useful where physical fire testing is prohibited.
